Viktor & Rolf in Utrecht

In Utrecht ist noch bis zum 8. Februar die Ausstellung "The House of Viktor & Rolf" zu sehn. Eine sehr gut gemachte Übersicht aller Kollektionen aus 15 Jahren Geschichte der zwei niederländischen Designer. Aus allen Kollektionen sind das oder die herausragendsten Entwürfe ausgewählt und mit sehr viel Hintergrundwissen gespickt präsentiert. Zusätzlich zu den lebensgroßen Stücken gibt es auch ein Puppenhaus mit kleinskalierten Entwürfen. Phänomenal verarbeit und gleichzeitig entzückend!

kann man sich alle Kollektionen angucken. Auf Video und als Einzelpräsentation. Großartig!


You can see the Exhibition "The House of Viktor & Rolf" until the 8th of february in the Centraal Museum Utrecht. It's a great presentation of all collections of the past 15 years made by the dutch design duo. One to three designs where selected and put into context with a lot of interesting background information. Additionally to the normal pieces, there was a doll's house with scaled designs. Híghest quality and so cute!

Auszüge aus der Beuys-Ausstellung. Die war auch riesig, viel zu groß. Aber interessant. Viele seltsame und/oder politische Kunst, eine Haufen Videos auf coolen Geräten und überraschend gute Skizzen (hatte ich noch nie gesehen).

Some examples of the Beuys-exhibition. Huge collection, a bit too much. But quite interesting, a lot of strange and/or political art, many videos, shown on cool screens and some surprisingly good sketches (never seen his sketches).

Nachdem die ganze Stadt mit dem Diamantenschädel von Damien Hirst plakatiert ist, dachte ich, ich gucke mir mal die sonntägliche Schlange an.
The whole city is full of diamond skulls of Damien Hirst, so i checked uit the sunday's queue.

So i went to the apple-museum instead.



Wo eine eher langweilige Ausstellung zu sehen war. Aber ein Buch fand ich lustig. ↑

Arte Mystica

Gestern im Artemis
bei der Eröffnung von Arte.Mystica gewesen. Ein Bekannter von mir, Albert Nanning, stellt dort einige Fotografien aus.
In erster Linie war ich beeindruckt von den abgefahrenen Snacks und crazy servierten alkoholischen Getränken. ich wollte allerdings nicht mit Blitz fotografieren, deshalb sind die Fotos nicht sooo toll geworden.

Yesterday, i visited the opening of Arte.Mystica in Artemis Hotel. A guy i know, Albert Nanning,, is showing a series of photographies there. But in the first place, i was impressed by the crazy snacks and drinks. I didn't feel like using the flash, that's why the pictures could have been better.

Es gab auch einen Haufen Promis und Gastauftritte. Das meiste niederländisch, deshalb reichlich uninteressant für mich. Aber amüsant war es allemal.
There have been a lot of Dutch celebrities an guest stars. But not being Dutch made it kind of boring to me. Most was at least funny.

Zu Ehren der Verfilmung des niederländischen Klassikers "Der Brief für den König" von Tonke Dragt gab es einen Rittertag.↑
Due to the film adaption of the dutch classic "the letter for the king" by Tonke Dragt, there was a knight's day.


Letztendlich war auch noch der Pixaranimator Mark Walsh ↑ für ein Interview zu Gast. Leider war ebenjenes todlangweilig. Man darf nicht vergessen, dass es eine Kinderveranstaltung war, vermutlich wurden deshalb nur komplett uninteressante Fragen gestellt. Schade.
Last but not least, the pixar animator Mark Walsh was there for an absolutely boring interview. Never forget: It's a festival for kids, so why ask serious, interesting question?

Am Wochenende gabs in der Oude Kerk eine Art Designflohmarkt. Organisiert von Mind what you wear, einer Plattform für mehr Konsumbewusstsein. Darum habe ich mir auch nur einen Button gekauft.
